Welcome to our little slice of Heaven!
The original idea for The Pizzeria was born out of our love of food and passion for entertaining.
Little did we know that when we constructed a wood fire oven in the backyard at home, this would set off a chain of events that started with ‘Wood Fire Friday’ and ended up with us opening our restaurant, The Pizzeria.
‘Wood Fire Friday’ quickly became a family tradition and for many years my wife Fi and our beautiful daughter Bella would invite all our neighbours and friends over on a Friday night. We’d cook pizzas at home, sharing laughs, good food and indulging in the company of great friends.
When the opportunity came to secure a shop close to home, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to turn our passion into a business and The Pizzeria On Norman was born. Since the day we opened The Pizzeria’s doors, we’ve never looked back.
Fi has an accounting background, which is really handy when you’re running a family business and had stopped working full time when Bella was born.
Before that Fi worked as a florist and her skills as a talented decorator are on display for all who visit The Pizzeria. All agree her special touch has made for a contemporary, yet comfortable dining experience.
Anyone who has visited The Pizzeria when Fi is working knows what a great host she is and without her none of this would have been possible.
Before we took the plunge and opened The Pizzeria, I had been in real estate for more than 14 years and believe me this taught me a thing or two about customer service. But my love for food, cooking and pizza’s won over and now it’s fantastic that I can share this passion with everyone who walks through the door of our family’s restaurant, The Pizzeria.
We hope to see you soon!
